The Georgia Archives will be closed Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25 for the Christmas Holiday. The Archives will also be closed Wednesday, January 1 for the New Years’ Day Holiday.
This schedule provides retention periods for common records created by state agencies. Common Record Categories include records, such as budget and accounting records, which may be created by any state agency. The retention period provided applies to the record, regardless of which agency created it. Contact the Georgia Archives before disposing of any record created prior to 1900, regardless of retention.
